Adult Acne Cysts
Adult acne is a common type of acne that affects 25 percent of all adult men and
50 percent of adult women at some point in their adult lives. Just like the

may result in severe scarring that will last for a lifetime.
The treatment of moderate to severe, cystic adult acne often relies on
antibiotherapy for he purpose of eradicating as much as possible microorganisms
like the Propionibacterium spp that has been colonizing the sebaceous follicles
in the skin. Aside from this method of treating the adult acne cysts, certain
bacterial resistances against certain antibiotics have emerged just recently.
With its emergence, many medical professionals have noted that both the
antibiotic and its administration modalities should be greatly considered in
order to control the risk of having adult acne cysts. To mention, there are some
oral minocyclines out there that can be used as one of the anti-acneic
therapies. And, there is Elicina, a skin generator and topical antibacterial
alternative for mild adult acne cysts. This treatment is now used along with
oral antibiotics or with Accutane when the adult acne cysts are on its acute
stage.
